Global Corporate Procurement

Global Corporate Procurement (GCP) partners with teams across Amazon company-wide, with a global view and their business owners to procure the optimal goods and services required, on time and at the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) while maintaining the highest levels of controllership and transparency. GCP helps maximize the value, efficiency and quality from their strategic external supplier partnerships which allows us to leverage Amazon’s full spend in securing the most advantageous commercial agreements. Global Corporate Procurement (GCP) has two primary areas of focus: promoting controllership across the non-inventory Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, and driving procurement savings through strategic sourcing programs. GCP provides sourcing support, procurement operations, and controllership for all business units indirect spend.

“Supplier diversity is much more than a supply chain best practice. It directly impacts the communities where we live. These suppliers are often small, very well qualified businesses competing for Amazon’s business. When they innovate and grow, they start a flywheel effect that creates jobs and puts money back into our local economies.”
